What to expect
We're getting ready to welcome new patients, and joining the waitlist is the first step. Here's what care will look like once you're with us, from your first visit onward.
Before your first visit
Once your first appointment is scheduled, you'll get a link to a few intake forms to complete beforehand, so we can spend the visit talking, not filling out paperwork. Because visits happen by video, you'll be able to test your camera, microphone, and connection ahead of time, so the technology is one less thing to think about on the day. If anything about it feels daunting, tell us, and we'll walk you through it.
Your first visit
Your first visit is a full hour with Emily. She'll ask about what brought you in, your history, your health, and what you're hoping for, and she'll leave room for whatever you want to bring up. Nothing gets decided without you. If all you do the first time is talk and feel heard, that is a good first visit.
After your first visit
From there, follow-up visits are a full thirty minutes, closer together at first while we find what works, then spaced further apart over time. Any medication decisions are made together, explained in plain language, and revisited as often as they need to be. Between visits, you'll have a way to reach us if something comes up.
How telehealth works here
You'll need a private, comfortable spot, a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, and a stable internet connection. You also need to be located in California at the time of your visit. This is real psychiatric care from a provider who knows you, just without the commute or the waiting room.
Whenever you're ready, we're here. Join the waitlist and we'll reach out as new appointments open.
