Care that takes the time it actually takes.

Morning Glory Psychiatry and Wellness was founded by Emily Schrodek, PMHNP-BC, on a simple idea: good psychiatric care can't be rushed. Too many practices run on fifteen-minute visits, enough time to adjust a prescription, not enough to understand a person. We built something different, a small telehealth practice where you're genuinely listened to, where your history and your goals shape the plan, and where the door stays open between visits.

Emily Schrodek is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 17 years in mental health direct patient care. She is an alumna of the UC San Francisco School of Nursing and UC Berkeley, and she completed the San Francisco VA Medical Center residency program. Her background includes extensive clinical research, including pioneering research on the impact of ADHD in women and girls.

In her own words

My priority is to help you navigate your mental health with compassion, respect, and clarity, and to do that, I have to actually listen. I focus on evidence-based care: medication management when it's the right tool, with supportive therapy and lifestyle work woven into the same visit. Real care takes time. A standard fifteen-minute med check doesn't leave room for it, which is why a first visit here runs a full hour and follow-ups are a full thirty minutes, never the rushed fifteen. I keep the practice small on purpose, so each person gets the listening, the thoroughness, and the ongoing communication the work actually requires.

Our approach

We believe you already have some of what it takes to feel better, and that our job is to help you find what works and then trust it enough to give it a fair chance. In practice, that means visits where you're actually heard, not processed. It means a plan you understand and agree with, not one handed to you. And it means staying flexible: if something isn't working, we change it, together.
